In recent years, China's highway construction has made rapid progress, and most of the pavement, especially the pavement of high-grade highway, is asphalt pavement. At present, the annual service life of asphalt pavement in China has exceeded 150000 tons, and the annual service life of asphalt pavement has reached more than 150000 tons. Therefore, rational utilization of asphalt recycling technology has become an important topic in highway construction.
According to foreign experience, the recycling of asphalt pavement materials for new pavement or pavement maintenance engineering is technically feasible and economically reasonable, will not increase too much production cost, and turning waste into treasure is conducive to environmental protection. Compared with other pavement repair technologies, asphalt pavement regeneration can also reduce the time of traffic interruption to a certain extent.
To sum up, the recycling of asphalt pavement materials has the advantages of reducing construction cost, saving aggregate and asphalt binder, maintaining the geometric characteristics of thick pavement, protecting environment, saving energy and reducing user delay.
Therefore, how to apply the recycling technology of asphalt pavement to achieve the expected economic and social benefits is the focus of discussion here.
There are many kinds of pavement cold recycling. According to the definition of asphalt recycling and Recycling Association, it can be divided into "hot plant mixing recycling, hot on-site recycling, cold plant mixing recycling, cold on-site recycling and full thickness recycling".
The on-site cold recycling of asphalt pavement refers to the reuse of old pavement materials after processing, adding some new aggregates as needed, adding a certain amount of cement and an appropriate amount of water in proportion, and continuously completing the milling, crushing, addition, mixing, paving and compaction of materials in a natural environment, A process for re forming a structural layer with required bearing capacity.
Cold recycling technology is generally used in the recycling of base and subbase. For the regeneration of existing asphalt pavement base and subbase, due to the complex materials, the primary problem is to solve the classification and crushing of materials, and then grade according to the design requirements of base or subbase. It can be recycled separately as base or subbase, or recycled together with existing asphalt surface to make base or subbase.
