As the working mechanism of pavement milling machine, the milling wheel is one of the core components of pavement milling machine products. The advanced design and precision of milling wheel are the key to ensure the technical performance and quality of pavement milling machine products.
When the milling wheel is designed in China, the proprietary technology is empty, and the manual butt welding is used to ensure that the main parameters such as helix arrangement parameters, tool length and rotation angle can not be guaranteed, resulting in rapid tool wear, high power consumption, intensified mechanical vibration, poor pavement flatness and poor trimming performance after milling, It affects the working efficiency of pavement milling machine and the technical performance of the whole machine.
In order to master the technical performance of the core technology progress of Anhui Wuhuan pavement milling machine, the factory has established a milling wheel technology research group by making full use of the existing computer resources. On the basis of making full use of three-dimensional design software, a computer-aided design system for milling wheel is developed.
First of all, we should understand that the requirements for designing milling wheels are:
(1) Low milling energy consumption and high milling efficiency.
(2) The force on the milling cutter is uniform, the milling stability is good, and the force fluctuation is small.
(3) The waste generated by milling is uniform in size and small in dust.
(4) Geometric parameters of milling wheel: select milling circle diameter, rotor shaft diameter, tool helix angle and milling tool spacing according to specific conditions.
(5) Working parameters of milling wheel: reasonably determine the speed of milling machine and the traction speed of milling machine.
(6) Possibility of manufacturing: connection design and manufacturing are mainly reflected in the layout of milling cutter head and the welding of tool magazine and milling shaft.
(7) Selection and modification of design scheme: the developed software can be selected according to the requirements of the designer, and can be used to modify the design of relevant parameters until the designer meets the requirements.
To sum up, the milling wheel design of the milling machine can integrate all parameters after comprehensively considering various factors. Through man-machine dialogue, a design scheme of ordinary milling wheel can be designed for designers.
