The joint problem on the road surface is caused by the shutdown of the road during the construction of the cold reinvigoration process. Even if the shutdown is only for a few minutes to replace the tank truck, it can cause transverse joints in the laying of recycled materials on the road surface. The generation of cracks will affect the uniformity of the materials during the subsequent construction. Therefore, during the construction process, it is necessary to avoid downtime as much as possible. If things cannot be done, the gaps should be dealt with in a timely manner. Below, the rental manufacturer of the cold regeneration machine will explain how to handle the seam problem.
1. When resuming construction after a temporary shutdown, the entire regeneration unit should be backed up by a distance of 1.5-2m to reach the recycled material, to ensure that all materials are processed after starting construction.
2. During the compaction of the previous operation section, a distance of 4-6 meters should be reserved for no compaction, and the next section should be compacted together.
3. Due to the fact that when the regeneration machine starts working, it needs to cut all the rotors down to the bottom of the regeneration layer to break the recycled material, with a forward speed of 0, resulting in uneven mixing of the loosened recycled material. Therefore, it is necessary to manually mix and level the pit.
The working width of the recycling machine is generally smaller than the width of the recycled road surface. Therefore, the regeneration of the full width road requires multiple operations, resulting in longitudinal joints between several adjacent working surfaces.
Generally speaking, the small overlap between adjacent working surfaces is 10cm to ensure the continuity of recycled material at the longitudinal joint, while avoiding the presence of unrecycled entrainment between adjacent working surfaces.
