Choosing a good roller not only improves the construction quality and progress of the project, but also maximizes the supporting capacity of the equipment and reduces costs. It can also ensure the ultimate benefits of the roller users. So road rollers cannot be blindly selected

1. Select based on soil structure

In general, tire driven single steel wheel vibratory rollers are suitable for rolling non cohesive materials such as gravel, crushed stones, sand gravel mixtures, sandy soils, etc; The double steel wheel vibration roller is suitable for compacting asphalt concrete, sand and gravel mixtures, and dry hard cement concrete. It is a universal construction equipment for high-grade highways, municipal roads, parking lots, and industrial sites.

The two wheeled smooth wheel static roller is suitable for rolling fine soil particles, sand, sand and gravel mixtures, and asphalt concrete materials; The three wheeled smooth wheel static roller, due to its heavy self weight and the "iron" effect on the road surface, can make the roadbed and asphalt pavement smooth and flat, making it suitable for the final compaction of various sticky and non sticky materials;

The convex block vibration roller can generate extremely high line load during vibration compaction, which can not only roll non cohesive soil, but also is particularly suitable for rolling cohesive soil. It is an ideal equipment for foundation compaction in engineering projects such as highways, mining roads, and large embankments.

2. Select according to construction requirements

Under normal circumstances, for rollers of the same tonnage, the rolling thickness and efficiency of a vibrating roller are 2-3 times that of a static roller. In order to effectively improve construction progress, some areas with longer cold periods and shorter construction seasons should consider choosing a vibrating roller; In mountainous roads or workplaces with loose soil, it is advisable to use static roller compaction machines for construction
