Mud spreader is a professional mechanical equipment that plays an important role in road construction and maintenance projects. The following is related knowledge about it:

Structural composition

Chassis: Typically, specialized automotive chassis such as those from brands like Dongfeng and Jiefang are used to provide driving power and support for the entire vehicle. The performance of the chassis directly affects the driving stability and passability of the cement spreader, including parameters such as engine power, wheelbase, tire specifications, etc., which are selected according to the overall design and usage requirements of the vehicle.

Cement tank: It is a component for storing cement, generally made of carbon steel or stainless steel material, with good sealing and corrosion resistance. The shape of the tank body is mostly cylindrical or elliptical, with a spiral conveying device or pneumatic conveying device inside, used to transport cement to the spreading device.

Spreading device: mainly composed of spreading disc, transmission mechanism, and adjustment mechanism. The spreading plate is usually installed at the rear of the vehicle, connected to the power output device of the chassis through a transmission mechanism, and powered by the engine to rotate it. The adjustment mechanism can control the speed, angle, and spreading width of the spreading disc, thereby achieving different spreading amounts and ranges.

Measuring device: used for precise measurement and control of the amount of cement spread. The common measurement methods include volumetric measurement and weighing measurement. Volumetric measurement calculates the spreading amount by measuring the volume of cement within a certain volume, while weighing measurement controls the spreading amount by measuring the weight of cement in real time through a weighing sensor installed on the tank or spreading device.

Control system: including electrical control system and hydraulic control system. The electrical control system is used to control the start, stop, and operation of the vehicle's spreading device, as well as the display of various instruments; The hydraulic control system is mainly used to control the lifting and tilting of the spreading device, as well as the speed of the spreading disc, to ensure the smoothness and accuracy of the spreading process.

Working principle

Loading cement: Cement spreader trucks load cement into tanks at cement manufacturers or mixing plants through pneumatic conveying or spiral conveying. Pneumatic conveying is the use of compressed air to transport cement from a storage bin to a cement tank through pipelines, while spiral conveying is the use of rotating spiral blades to push cement into the tank.

Transportation process: After the cement is loaded into the tank, the vehicle transports it to the construction site. During transportation, in order to prevent cement from clumping, the mixing device inside the tank will slowly rotate to keep the cement in a loose state.

Spreading operation: After arriving at the construction site, start the spreading device. According to the construction requirements, adjust the speed, angle, and spreading width of the spreading disc through the control system. Cement is transported from the bottom of the tank to the spreading plate under the action of gravity and centrifugal force of the spreading plate, and then evenly spread on the road surface or other construction areas.
