In areas with complex construction conditions, both road and foundation compaction, it is necessary to level the ground first, so as to facilitate the following compaction process for such machines as road rollers. For the work of leveling, a practical mechanical equipment has emerged, which is the grader that the cold recycling machine rental manufacturer will introduce today.
Land leveler refers to a high-speed, efficient, high-precision, and multi-purpose earthwork machinery that uses a scraper to level the ground. The scraper is installed between the front and rear axles of the machine and can be lifted, tilted, rotated, and extended. Flexible and accurate movement, convenient manipulation, and high accuracy in leveling the site. It is suitable for constructing subgrade and pavement, constructing slopes, excavating side ditches, mixing pavement mixtures, removing snow, pushing bulk materials, and maintaining dirt and gravel roads.
Highway subgrade is the foundation of pavement and an important component of highway engineering. The roadbed bears the traffic load transmitted from the road surface, and is the supporting structure of the road surface. It must have sufficient strength, stability, and durability. According to different landforms, highway subgrade generally adopts two forms: embankment and cutting.
The grader has the following two main functions:
1. Scrape the cross slope of the road to meet the design requirements.
2. Scrape the road surface to a level surface according to the requirements of the longitudinal slope of the road.
In order to smooth the road surface, the operator is required to pay attention to the following points:
1. The machine must travel strictly in parallel to the longitudinal axis of the road;
2. Strict edge scraping facilitates reversing direction;
3. Adjust the height of the scraper according to the undulation of the front wheel. Especially when the front wheel passes through uncovered rainwater wells, sewage wells, etc., it is necessary to reduce the speed and adjust the scraper to prevent the front wheel from suddenly lowering and causing pits on the scraped road surface;
4. Adjust the lateral angle of the scraper according to the cross section and cross slope conditions of the machine, so that the cross slope meets the design requirements;
5. For roads that cannot be completely covered by one knife, it is best to push back and forth in the same direction from the middle to both sides, with intersections between each knife;
6. For scraping thicker parts, it is necessary to be patient and gradually scrape one layer at a time to the design height to avoid too many one-time cuts, which often leads to rough scraping surfaces and even large pits.
